The Mettech Axial III Thermal Spray System can produce dense chrome oxide (Cr2O3) coatings with less than 1% porosity on a consistent basis. The feed rates and deposition efficiencies are significantly superior to those of traditional radial injection plasma systems, as illustrated below. The Axial III easily produces coating densities capable of laser engraved cell counts in the 1500 lpi range.
