Mettech's business is to solve our customers' coatings and materials challenges through integrated solutions. Though these solutions can sometimes be based on "off the shelf" Mettech products and services, more often than not solutions are co-developed with our customers, unique to each job.

Our interactive R&D program combines Mettech's plasma thermal spray expertise and know-how with a customer's specific program objectives and deliverables. This cooperative effort provides customers with a cost-effective opportunity to:

• research new plasma coatings and applications
• evaluate the performance of Axial III Plasma Spray System (APS) / Axial III Plasma Slurry Plasma Spray (SPS) coatings
• determine the technical and / or economic feasibility of a specific coating or applications
• perform a technical evaluation of Mettech's Axial III Plasma systems

Performance benchmarks and a schedule for attaining milestones are formulated in advance. Deliverables may include:

• coating samples
• coated prototype components
• lab analysis
• coating hardness data
• Axial III operating summary reports
• material and operational cost analysis
• additional customer-defined specific requirements
