Mettech holds exclusive worldwide licenses to plasma torch patents owned by The University of British Columbia. These patents have application for both thermal spray and nanopowder production. Mettech also holds an exclusive worldwide license to slurry injection technology developed jointly with the National Research Council of Canada. Application patents are in negotiation with partner institutions, and patents on proprietary Mettech technology are pending.
